● Sharks & Minnows - This game involves one player act as the shark, and the other participants play the minnows. The minnows goal is to make it up and back across the pool without being tagged by the shark. This game should be played in comfortable depths, and novice swimmers should refrain from overdoing it in the deep end. You can add your own rules to make things more interesting, such as having everybody touched by the shark become a shark. Have fun, but be safe!
● Marco Polo - Marco Polo is a timeless classic where one player keeps their eyes closed while shouting “Marco.” The only players are dispersed throughout the pool and must respond by saying “Polo” every time the main player shouts. With his/her eyes closed, the main player, must touch the other players to eliminate them. The last person left untagged wins!
● Ring Race - One player tosses sinkable rings across the pool. The second player must grab all of the rings from the bottom of the pool while the ring tosser times them. Whoever can gather all of the rings the fastest wins. To make the game easier, only throw the rings on the shallow end of the pool and allow goggles.
● Pool Sports - From floatable basketball hoops and ping pong tables to tossing the football around, playing sports in your pool is a great way to work up a sweat and cool off at the same time! Bonus points if you wear Philadelphia Eagles swimwear.
